Understanding Home and Performance
Use Rankability Home to triage client work, Performance to compare results, and client workspaces to execute the next action.
Rankability has two agency-level starting points with different jobs. Home tells you which client needs a human decision and where work is already running. Performance compares measured results across clients. Use a client workspace to investigate or execute after either page identifies where to focus.
Use Home for work triage
Home is a cross-client projection of client Activity boards. It is designed to move you into the right client, not to replace the underlying task board or performance reports.
Read the sections in this order:
Your turn contains clients with work waiting for human review. Open a row to reach that client's Activity board and review the actual task or output.
Running now contains clients with active work. Watch opens the client's Activity board. An empty section means no client work is currently running; it does not mean tracking and integrations have stopped.
Blocked on setup groups clients that are missing something Rankability needs before work can continue. Expand the group to see the clients and the blocking label. Unblock them opens Clients; the label on an expanded row routes to the relevant setup area.
On track groups clients that currently need nothing from you. Expand it when you need to confirm which clients are included.
The momentum line summarizes recently completed work. Expand it for the per-client count, then open a client to inspect the completed items.
Home does not show every suggested or planned task across the organization. Those decisions remain on each client's Activity board. It also does not diagnose SPI changes or expose every raw monitoring finding. Use Performance and the client's Track reports for that evidence.
If the organization has no client, Home prompts you to add one. If it contains only the sample client, the demo-data banner identifies that state; add a real client before treating the activity as your own account data.
Use Performance for portfolio comparison
Open Performance when the question is about outcomes rather than workflow—for example, which clients are declining, which are improving, or which are missing connected data.
Portfolio performance combines SPI, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and tracking coverage in one comparison table. You can select a 7-, 14-, 28-, or 90-day range, compare it with the previous period or the same period last year, filter and sort the client list, and export the visible rows to CSV.
Treat Performance as a triage surface. A negative change shows where to investigate; it does not prove a cause. Open the client and confirm the selected properties, data freshness, tracking history, projects, and underlying reports before recommending action. See Using Portfolio performance for the metric and filter rules.
Move into the correct workspace
The agency navigation also includes:
Clients for adding clients and managing client-level setup, connections, and access.
Projects for finding work across clients. See Using the Projects page.
After selecting a client, the navigation changes to that client's workspaces, including Activity, Research, Create, Audit, Promote, and Track. The selected client controls the website, brand context, sources, integrations, projects, and collected data used in those areas. Confirm the client name before starting a scan, generating content, publishing, or changing settings.
Troubleshooting
A client is not in Your turn: Open the client's Activity board. Home shows review-ready and active work, not the complete Suggested or Planned queues.
A client is marked Blocked on setup: Expand the group and select the blocking label. Complete the requested setup, then allow the related connection or tracking job time to refresh.
Home is empty or cannot load the roster: Open Clients or Performance directly. Home is a read-only projection; the client records and Activity boards remain the underlying source.
Performance shows a dash or Missing data: A missing value is not zero. Check the client's Google connections, tracking status, and whether enough history exists for the selected comparison.
