# Using Write it myself mode

The “Write it myself” option lets you skip AI draft generation and write manually while using keyword tracking and content scoring.

## Steps

1. Complete Steps 1 and 2 of the content project.
2. On the Brief editor (Step 3), scroll to the bottom.
3. Click **Write it myself**.
4. The editor opens with an empty canvas (“Start writing your content...”).
5. A blue banner reads: “Ready to generate a draft?” with a **Generate draft** button.
6. The right sidebar is fully populated with keywords, score, and KW checklist.
7. Write your content. The score updates in real time.

## Tips and best practices

* Use the keyword sidebar as a checklist – target red keywords first.
* Check the KW checklist frequently to track placement.
* Click the **Generate draft** banner to switch to AI generation at any time.
* You can run an Editor review on manually written content.

## Troubleshooting

* **Score stays at 0** – Include recommended keywords from the sidebar.
* **Generate draft banner disappears** – Use the **Regenerate draft** button in the toolbar instead.
