# Using the Tasks board

Review what Serena recommends, what is running, what needs your decision, and what is complete.

## Open Tasks

Select a client and open **Tasks**.

## Board columns

* **Suggested** — Work Serena recommends. Open a card to review why it matters and any cost before starting.
* **Active** — Work currently running.
* **Your turn** — Work waiting for your review, assignment, publishing decision, or another human action.
* **Done** — Finished work, including work that has moved into measurement.

## Open a card

A card can show its short ID, stage, origin, owner, explanation, output, and available next actions. The available controls depend on the task type and stage.

## Costs and approval

A suggested metered action shows its cost before you start it. Your organization’s first Autopilot draft can be free. Publishing and other consequential actions use the confirmation shown in the product.

## If the board does not load

Refresh once. If the problem continues, contact support with the client, task ID if visible, time, and error text.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.rankability.com/tasks/tasks-board.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
